If my computer has coax out, and my dac has coax and usb inputs, which connection would yield the best sound

Try them both and see which one you like better. There probably isn't much, if any difference. I've used both in different set-ups and there are too many variables to give a hard and fast answer to your question. One thing, the coax may well be able to play a higher res file than the usb input if that matters to you. That said, I mainly use usb inputs because I find it more convenient in my system and I can't hear a difference.

Both are digital connections and should not make a difference unless you've got superhuman (you don't) hearing.

That will depend on your speakers and your computer.
Aka - Some computer have bad (noisy) sound cards - then you'd want to use digital out to bypass that.
But that will not help if you speaker is not up to level
