Yeah, I've seen reviews of usb cables before. They make me want to vomit :( I cannot even begin to imagine the profit numbers the snake oil cable companies generate :/

Seriously, I have no life.
I got a really good ethernet cable and it makes all of my MP3s sound so much better that I can't see why anyone sees a need for an actual audio system. The bass from my computer speakers is astounding and I get complaints from people down the street. The sound is open, chocolatey and obsequious in the best sense.

People who need an audio system are suckers!:D

What I find interesting is that many that buy into this type of review, which totally lacks any objective information at all, are generally the first to make fun of those who believe in religion, an admittedly faith-based issue.

Until they are willing to let me setup a high resolution system and have them walk in from the wild and pick it blind....

Well there is a phool born every second.

Remember never trust and audiophile scared sh*(less by a blindfold. If they can not trust their ears neither should you.

The company does offer a 30 day money back guarantee, it's more than I can say for most.

It might even print on its own, fixing any mistakes you may have made in taking the picture.;):D

I didn't read their fine print on that guarantee but I wonder who pays shipping both ways and if there is a restocking fee involved.

You pay shipping (I think not unreasonable, no one ever said this hobby wasn't going to cost a few $$ here or there). From what I read there is no restocking fee.

I've always wondered something. Are some of these crazy items just made to make everyone laugh and create traffic or do people actually buy these things. I know guys buy some damn stupid stuff, I'm talking stuff like this, usb super cables, 30k speaker cables, stones...

Several snake oil companies do that, and it works very well for them. If you return it, you are admitting you can't see the emperor's new clothes, and no audiophool wants to do that.

Besides, there is a psychological reason why people tend to believe that new things make a difference. When adding a new piece of gear, people tend to listen more closely to their system than usual, and consequently, they hear more details than usual. Instead of wisely attributing this to the actual cause of listening more closely than usual, many imagine that the new thing made the difference in their noticing of more details. This is why any fool thing that makes no difference and could not possibly make any difference is believed in by some.

So, they are not likely to get many returns.

It does make it handy to do a DBT with. Document the process and then publish the results...

I got a catalog in the mail a couple weeks ago with a $3,500 power cord. I think I recall remarking that, as scams go, this isn't like cheating disabled old people out of their social security checks, but it's like cheating people who can afford, and are naive enough, to dump 3.5K on a f**kin wire out of 3.5K. I could do that AND sleep at night.
