Hello,

Recently I came up against this problem, hope you can help me, guys. ;)

My subwoofer is Celestion S80, while receiver is Marantz SR4300, if it helps.

In short, every time I switch channels I hear something like THUD from my subwoofer. I tried to change the cable, but it didn't help.

I hear THUD sound when changing channels, for instance, on Sky TV (I'm not exactly using it, but idea is the same). And it happens all the time, doesn't matter what audio encoding is.

In addition, I hear this THUD sound also when changing channels on my receiver. For example, from DVD to DSS or from STEREO to DOLBY PRO LOGIC II, etc.

I'm wondering if any of you came up against similar problem? Any input would be appreciated. ;)

P.S. Let me know if you need more details.

It sounds as though it's a problem with the receiver. I can't imagine it being the subwoofer itself or the cables either. If you have a way of doing so, try another receiver and see what happens.
