Just elected VP Mid West AES chapter.

Seriously, I have no life.
I just received news this evening that I have been elected Vice President of the Mid West Chapter AES.

A few months ago I was stunned and humbled when I was nominated for the position.

Now I have been elected, so now will have new responsibilities.

I will be serving under Tim Anderson.

Full results of the chapter elections.

A. Section Chair

Tim Andersen

Tim Andersen is Studio Manager and Manager of Artists and Repertoire, Hudson Records, Minneapolis MN. Tim has mixed and/or engineered 7 RIAA certified gold and 2 Platinum discs.

B. Section Vice Chair

Mark has spent 50 years in audio, starting with the Jordan Watts loudspeaker company and was key to designing the Mk3 driver for that company. Many LP and CD recordings (classical and orchestral focus) were done by Dr. Carter, mostly for public radio, and at KFJM FM producing programs for broadcast.

A speaker designer, Dr. Carter also designed aperiodically damped transmission lines, and dual transmission lines that are in his private studio. Now retired, Dr. Carter is willing to spend time to further the AES presence in the upper Midwest.

From 1976-1982, he was co-owner of Wirebender Audio Systems, a recording studio, live sound system provider, and an audio equipment manufacturing facility. How long did they have to listen to those gems in your house to be swayed? I'm thinking 20 minutes. ;) Certainly well earned. I hope you are able to help many more folks reach their audio dreams. You've certainly helped us all here.
Well all accept alex:p
