I thought 2.0 was as far as you were willing to go? I must've misunderstood somewhere. Or I guess when you go 2.0 x 3, it's almost like a 6.0?

DenPureSound, yes 7.1 is as far as it gets today. Not 7ch but 8ch, since the .1 is its own ch.

I know that some people have had good luck with the Emo prepro, but some people definitely have not. If it was me, I'd get a Denon 431X, and maybe an Emo XPA3 for the front three (depending on how much I save from the 5ch version). Surrounds do not call for too much energy 99% of the time, and besides, surround speakers are almost always closer to the listener than the fronts.

For whatever reason I just feel safer with another Denon AVR w/ preouts in case later I want to add the amp of which at this time I do not think I need for that Volume of room in Cubic Meters (For those that love ISO Metric), especially driving 8Ω speakers.

Going to stay with 5.1, since never liked the Square Root of 6.25 show anyways!

This is the REAL Q:

Why would you spend $900 for a new 4310CI which now is two years old as a model (w/Possible NIC Issues) vs. $999 a hund more for a new 3312CI?

That is the 64M $ Q, or as once stated "As it seems to Me"??

You guys ALL LOVE the Two Year Old model AVR-4310CI, which you feel has better build quality (more sheet metal and internal structure) vs. the AVR-3312CI this years model w/ a GUI Wizard and all the bells and whistles w/Airplay of which I will not use anyways.

When I discuss this with Denon Sales Staff they recommend the newly released In-Command AVR-3312CI, why do you think that is?

I just ordered the Rythmik D15SE:

So hopefully by the end of next week, I should be back to 2.1.

If you ask 100 Denon guys, you will get 100 different answers.

The 4310 may have better build quality since it is one the flagship models, but being 2 yrs older also means that it may have compatibility issues with newworking.

Another idea is to try out the 4310 at home to make sure that every single networking function works. If not, return it for a full refund, including shipping back to them.

But you will have to ask the seller and get it in writing.

That is the biggest advantage of buying directly from amazon (not 3rd party), but I don't think you can buy the 4310 directly from amazon. It seems like onecall is the store, so you will have to ask them and get it in writing.

No idea. Maybe because it's just a job, that they just recently got hired, and don't know any better? Well, sounds plausible as any other guess.

Yeah, it's unanimous. I've already explained my preference for the 4311, and if it was me, and I knew that I would keep it at least several years or so, I'm pretty sure I would pony up. But, still, I choose 4310 over the 3312.

In fact, even if given an even older unit to choose from, the 4308, I'd probably still take that over the 3312, even if that choice is not quite as easy as the former.

Likewise, I might still choose my Onkyo 805 over the 705, 706, 707, 708, and 709, although I admit that I'd like to try Dynamic Volume/EQ. The DSX probably doesn't do anything for me, because as a blind guess, I suspect that I only get 7.1 at a time, anyways.

Hey congrats. Are you intending on 2.0 for stereo sources, and then throw on the BM for HT? Or are you intending on using the sub always?

I will try both 2.1 & 2.0 for music and see which I like better.

Amazon is all fouled up -- they are showing the Denon AVR-3312CI at $1199, when it should be $999. I guess they will take all the $ they can get.

Yes, from Amazon for the 4310CI is it sold by One Call. It is true that 4310CI is the only 7.1 in the 43XX lineup, the rest even more channels (9), of which I will never use. I know at max. 7.1 here, and will start out with 5.1.

I like the Dynamic EQ, but NOT the DynVOL -- I always use DynEQ, and you have to run Audyssey first before these become active.

Which one would you buy? Do not have 3D, and have no idea when it will be here, unless I have to buy a new TV and hope not.

I don't have a better idea, but the one thing that I dislike about my own ST modular rack is that if I want to add another shelf, I have to remove EVERYTHING, so that I can flip the rack upside down; this is required to add a shelf. Also, see what lengths of pipe are available, and for how much, in case you wanted significant ventilation for a big amp or something. Otherwise, can't beat $100. A "real" rack like a Middle Atlantic would be great, but they are very expensive.

You already know which one I'd pick, so between the other two, my guess is that it's not only about where it was made, but about the amplification. If there is no must-have feature of the 3312, then what's the confusion? Hm, so the 4310 went up in price, too bad . . .

Those Rythmik Direct Servo Subs are suppose to have extremely accurate and deep, low, powerful bass, so I can't wait to listen to them and give my thoughts.

Ascend Acoustics emailed me saying it has been shipped.

Aesthetics is way up on my priority list. That was a huge factor in getting this sub.

They cost $1,190 shipped via UPS Ground to your door.

Useable space between shelves is 9", so a nice EMO amp will fit and the XPA-5 weighs 66# so it will support it also... Already thought of that one, but thanks.
Love your VTI rack, it ROCKS as I have looked at that one also here ... but going the lower $ route.

Jeez... 1.2K for a sub, heck that is more than my AVR + A/V Rack + Cables

I like the Weight carrying capacity per shelf, No Glass (other half likes), Steel Tubular Posts, Powder Coating -- Very Durable, Four posts not three like some of them, Cable routing holes per shelf, and certainly the price Delivered at $105.

I do not like the non-modularity (can not add additional shelves), wish Height was greater with more spacing per shelf -- but overall it will work, and every other site I looked at sells it for $149. I am certain it is another favorite of yours -- MADE IN CHINA

Looked at Wal-Mart, but nothing but TV stands, no A/V Racks.
