Favorite Childhood movie

A thread on another forum got me thinking about movies from your childhood. Goonies would definitely have to be top 3. It's one of those movies that you loved as a kid, for whatever reason. I still think it's good and need to watch it with my son asap.

Something about the optimism and magic of being a kid. It's sad when that's taken away from us. One of the reasons I think LotR is so sad, it's the stripping away of innocence from the Hobbits. Anyway...I digress.

What's your favorite childhood movies, and why? :D

Define chilhood. I know from the age of 5-9, I watched the Wizard of Oz every year.

As an almost 50 yo, I love the sense of wonderment in Harry Potter and the Scorcerer's Stone.

The Court Jester

It is very funny, quite witty, very silly, and breaks the rules for what I normally like, but I love it anyway. It is to the intellect what cotton candy is to nutrition, but, all the same, it is very funny and enjoyable.

That's a tough one but the first one that came to mind was The Dark Crystal. Can't beat Jim Henson.

I liked a lot of Disney movies as a kid.

The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes

The Cat From Outer Space

Any of the Witch Mountain Movies.

As a kid? hell I still like a lot of them. In fact they are some of the better films out today.
