RARE FIND - The Entire L/R/C Set for $8100!

Selling my reference matched set of Genesis Advanced Technologies 6.1 main speakers with built-in dual, self amplified subs and matching 6.1c center speaker. (http://www.genesisloudspeakers.com/g6p1series.html) - These babies cost almost $16k new and are worth every cent!

MORE Pictures below at very bottom..

Questions? Shoot me a PM - This is my first time selling here but I have sold a lot of gear on audiogon (hawaiiguy) and ebay (bimmer$) and have 100% feedback ratings- You can be assured I am an excellent person to deal with, I am a professional and a home owner. I'm happy to call you if you PM me a number. If you are in the Los Angeles area I can arrange a time to demo these speakers for you personally with both music and theater sources, these MUST be heard to understand how amazing they are. I am extremely particular about audio gear and the Genesis 6 line gives you an incredible amount of sound quality for your money. I know I will miss them.

Cost of these three speakers new two years ago was $15,800.00, and that included the custom Porsche Arctic Silver / Mercedes Black automotive paint job. If you're considering, think hard on this- It is very very difficult to find these particular speakers sold as a matched L/R/C set, let alone sold at all on the pre-owned market (most owners never sell these), and my asking price is less than what you'll pay for a pre-owned set of just the left / right speakers only. At my asking price of $8100, I'm pretty much throwing in the center speaker for free, which cost around $5000 by itself.

Why selling?? My upcoming theater room remodel has forced me to go with a different size / dimension of speakers unfortunately, I am going to experiment with BG Radia in-walls. I love audio gear and I tend to revise my gear every 2 years to try something new, so someone can capitalize here on my obsession and pick up a set of 'last you'll ever own' speakers at a steal price.

Essentially, these speakers will replace 5 speakers in a typical home theater system (left / right / center and dual separate subwoofers), all in a very nice compact footprint. By having the 4 subs (two 12" per side) incorporated into the L/R towers you save a lot of space (and aesthetics) by not having to run separate sub modules around the room, and you no longer need a separate sub amp or long cable runs. In addition, the amount of sub bass output by these speakers is nothing short of heart stopping!

These speakers are large enough to fill a 25x40 theater room with incredible, life-like sound, massive smooth bass down to 16hz, and will absolutely not disappoint even the most critical audio or HT enthusiast!!.
These are "Lifetime" speakers and the last set you'll ever need to own. All three speakers are custom automotive finished in Porsche Arctic Silver and Mercedes Graphite Metallic Black, then buried in several layers of clear coat. Simply stunning, they look very sexy in any contemporary or modern room and have a very high WAF (these are the only tower speakers my wife actually liked - not tolerated, liked)!!

If you are reading this, then you probably know how amazing these speakers are and they have won sound awards as recently as 2010. The mains and center will only be sold as a set, will not separate. I am the first owner, originally purchased from Sound Video Automation (Authorized dealer) two years ago.

Tech stuff:
I have just had both of the 6.1 subwoofer amplifiers sent to Genesis Advanced Technoloieds in Seattle for a thorough check over and upgrade of the amplifier components and midrange / tweeter level controls ($550 service), so you will be assured that everything is 100% up to perfect condition for each speaker and will function flawlessly for many years. In case you are not aware, the 6.1 main left / right speakers each have two built-in 12" amplified, servo controlled subwoofers with matching 500w/1000w peak Class D amplifiers capable of producing belting blasts of sub-bass down to below 16hz. There are separate inputs on the back of each tower for your subwoofer line in from your processor, and they can be daisy-chained if your receiver only has one subwoofer output. They accept both RCA and XLR inputs, and all connections are of the ultimate highest quality. Each speaker has a serial number and chain of ownership can be verified upon request.

You can run the main tower mids / tweets and center speaker with a good, clean 135w-150w per channel amplifier like the Arcam P1000 or P7- Or, use your biggest baddest Mark Levinson or Theta amps- The 6.1's can take whatever you dish out, but do not require a million watts to run effectively. The drivers are made of titanium and the subs are aluminum. I have used a modest Integra 80.1 and Arcam P1000 with these speakers and the experience has been nothing short of mind blowing. Period.

The speakers are very sensitive and produce extremely loud sound volumes, yet at low volumes reproduce every subtle detail with perfect clarity for pure 2-channel music listening. Center dialogue is triple-excellent for movie watching. This setup will ROCK your home theater (and probably several of your neighboring houses, if so inclined :D), and for 2 channel listening will faithfully reproduce every distinct note and nuance to perfection:D.

Google search for "genesis 6.1 review" and you'll get tons of info.

I have used these speakers primarily for home theater in my dedicated theater room, which they without exception excel at, with occasional two channel listening sessions. For 2 channel music purity and reproduction you can't get any better sound than the 6.1, unless you're willing to drop over $25k on a pair of higher line Genesis speakers like the 5.3 series or other comparable audiophile brand in that price range. I can tell you this with unbiased certainty as I have owned (you name the brand) of mid range to ultra high end audiophile speakers over the past 10 years. The center imaging on the 6.1 towers flawless as is the openness and natural spaciousness. You can actually unplug the center speaker during 5.1 dolby-encoded DVD music playback and you'll swear it is still on- That is how good the center imaging is from the two main speakers.

Details:
I am conservatively rating the mains as 8/10 as one of the towers has very small paint nicks on the side. It is easy to touch up with an automotive paint stick and unless you stick your nose on the speaker it is not noticeable. Fronts are flawless. The center speaker is 9/10.

SHIPPING- I am not able to ship, this is a 'local pickup' deal, cash in hand. I am in the Los Angeles / Beverly Hills 90210 area. If you are not local and REALLY want these, and have your own freight company that can come and box / pick them up, I'm willing to work with you on that. Certified bank check in that case is fine. The mains weigh about 130lbs each and the center weighs 67lbs so you'd probably be looking at $400 range with a freight mover / furniture mover- But overall you'll still be getting a heck of a deal.

Payal? Ok so I love paypal but the fee is just nuts. I'm trying to keep the price on this set as low as possible, and the $ I make here will go towards my next set of speakers so frankly I can't just 'give them away', even though at my asking price it is darn close to that. That said, we can do paypal but I will ask for an extra $100 to offset the fee. Lame.

This is a fantastic deal for the complete front set of three speakers (Left / Right / Center). I urge you to price shop around and you'll see that my price here is insanely good. Thanks for your time looking. I will answer any and all questions and give you as much info needed to make a solid informed decision on buying these wonderful speakers from me.

LOL- Thank you Gene, your post is actually the first welcoming one I've received since I signed up today.

I guess it is called a "sick day", I had all day on my hands to put this together here, I'm glad all of my info was helpful. These are indeed some speakers I will miss once they are gone. I am however looking forward to playing with my upcoming four BG LA-800's, four LA-600's and four SBX12s!! :D

I know the feeling as I am getting ready to sell these gems:
http://www.audioholics.com/reviews/speakers/floorstanding/rbh-t-30lse

But they will be replaced by a new flagship model from the same company so I am not sweating it too much.

I'm not familiar with any of these but please send some links for a look see. I am a fan of quality high end speakers...

RBH- Very nice speakers indeed. I heard a pair of them at one of the CES demo suites a few years back. I know how it is- Once you are "spoiled" by true quality speakers, it is hard to listen to anything lesser. You always end up "hearing the speaker" and not the sound.

I had a chance to demo a full 10.4 setup of BR Radia speakers at my friend Bills' AV showroom. Simply blow-your-mind stunning. These are Line Array speakers and you'd never guess in a million years they were inwalls. Massive inwalls, though.. :DS. The most phenomenal part of the system is the subwoofers. They will fit inside a 4" deep wall cavity, or can remain freestanding. The sound is absolutely incredible. Here are some links to get you going:

http://www.bgcorp.com/in wall speakers.html
http://www.hometheater.com/inwallspeakers/606bg/
http://www.bgradia.com/subwoofer-speakers.html

I don't expect them to be as purely musical as the Genesis, but they are the absolute ultimate for home theater which will be the main point of the room. I am thinking of getting a pair of Genesis 5.3's for the library and a dedicated 2ch system.

That might have something to do with so obviously post padding to open a Classified Thread that most of us were waiting for the ban hammer to strike. You might have disclosed that you knew Gene and that regular rules weren't gonna be in effect ... but yeah, welcome to AH and thanks for that demonstration in speed posting. Are your fingers tired? :D

Listen bud, you seem to be an old timer here and with all of those posts and thanks under your belt I'm quite surprised that you're such a blatantly poor representation of a sr. forum member. Both of your posts following mine have been purposely inflammatory, off topic, and generally deconstructive. One of the very first things I did after I signed up was to go of my way and openly introduce myself here, without reservation, and all that I received back is unfriendliness. If I didn't make the cut to get accepted into the ladies sewing circle here with you and the other hens, that's just too bad.

If you have something to communicate to me, you can easily use PM- all your posts demonstrate are that you are a bully, show off and that any rules here on courtesy and respect don't apply to you. If my ad here is something problematic for you, Clint, Mike, or anyone else who wants to chime in, I'm more than happy to see it vaporized. I sincerely thought that posting my set of Genesis speakers here, and at such an excellent price, would be viewed as a contribution- I'm certainly not in a state where I *need* to sell them, if they don't find a good new home then they just get taken in on trade by my dealer for something else. Most of the time that's what I end up doing anyway.

Your parents ought to limit your internet time, seriously. Can we move on now?

You might have PM'ed me before calling me a hen and starting to talk about what my parents ought to be doing but I see that one of the other hens has welcomed you by destroying your rep. I'll fix that for you in hopes of helping you grow a sense of humor. I meant good luck with the sale but something tells me that you weren't completely serious when you offered your apology.

Speaking of limiting internet time 'bud' ... 36 PPD might be a record. :p

EDIT:

My parents agree with you about my internet time so you and Dan there can have the place.

Guys lets try to be more friendly here. We all share a common hobby and passion for audio. Don't make me get my red market out as when I hit negative reputation it hurts a lot more than just a forum member doing it

Now Alex you know better than to make fun of the 90210 boys! They are too cool for school!

Kurt,
Good luck with your sale and understand that this site has a high volume of scammers, and idiots that post a bunch of crap just so they can try and sell their stuff on this site. Don't take it personally that Alex confused you for one of those people, he's a good guy and 90% of his posts are sarcastic, toward everyone on the forum, so again don't take it personally its just his way of communicating, after all he's only a monkey!

I'm going to side with the others on this one.

This guy joins the forum one day and makes just enough posts in three hours to get a classified ad up the same day.

I agree. But that water has done went under the bridge. If I had seen this post right when it was submitted I would have to admit something smelling fishy.

Thanks- And now that you mention it, I did in fact obtain my Eagle Scout badge. :D

If you guys are really that interested in how I amassed a whopping 36 posts in one day here, let's just say I was home sick and this was a lot more interesting than daytime TV or going through work related emails- There are some very interesting topics here.

More than likely my speakers will be taken in on trade towards my upcoming set of BG Radia inwalls, so believe me when I tell you that I have no real need to sell them other than seeing them go to someone else who might appreciate them and is looking for a good deal. It is not every day you can pick up a set of these at less than half price of retail, and they are a currently serviced model by Genesis (built in 2007, bought by me in 2009 from dealer). I was hoping that by my posting them for sale here it would be viewed as a contribution.

Anyway, my apologies for the drama and if I came across as a bit of a hard nose towards Alex, well, what can I say- I like to at least get a kiss first before getting ...

Peace, love and all that- ;)
