If i had found a 15in. 1250W powered sub is it a good deal?
It has a 2in. voice coil with an impedence of 6 ohms and the response bandwidth is 20-250 Hz max.
Power is the 1250W and a sensitivity of 95 ±2dB, the LPF is 40-180Hz its from an unknown company but i think the ratings on it look pretty good.

Any input would be nice Thanks

If its +/- 2db at 40 Hz its not even a sub.

So... if thats the case what would i be looking for?

If its bandwidth is from 20hz at +/- 2db then that should make for a decent sub no? It is the LPF that is 40-180hz ?

You need something that can exceed 100 db at least down to 30 Hz, without lumps and bumps in the response. If you want good power to bottom of the last octave 20 Hz, then it will cost you.

Cost effective subs usually have good output to the 30 Hz region or a little below.

It's sub-par....

Seriously though I think you misread the first post. He said the LPF can be set to 40hz. we really don't know a thing about the subs behaviour, although the sensitivity makes its extension suspect.

that really doesn't tell us much man. There's sub with no meaningful bass below 50hz that can claim 20hz extension...

They just don't tell you that the 20hz extension is at 60db

Usually words like "peak power" and no mention of -3db point really set off a red flag. The fact that you don't even know the brand name is enough to recommend steering clear.

Well, if your budget is tight, not sure what can compete for your $$; need to look around perhaps.
