Ok Guys, I have read alot of posts for a few weeks and you guys seem really up on things....OK I really need some advice before I make a plunge. I just bough a Denon AVR 3805. I am looking a a pair of floor standing speakers, at first. I will be the first to admit that I dont know crap about audio components and speakers. I am putting the system in a room that is about 18' x 23', with a high ceiling. I am an old rock-n-roller with one foot in the grave, so I like it loud but clear so I can hear the additions of vocals in the background, like on some of the Doors tunes or the slight "triangle" sounds of Pink Floyd's Shine On You Crazy Diamond and also the quick switch crispness of Frank Zappa....Now I know that Klipsch is in our face, and B&W or Paradigm is a little more refined but I want to hear the crisp, detailed switch of instruments and vocals but on a louder scale.....what is the thought? I listen to more music than video but, I also would like to add a little later, a center channel and some sides and if needed a base woof. I am looking between 800.00 - 1200.00 for the floorstanders.
