Post your honest opinion about the company known as Bose, as I am genuinely interested in all of your opinions.

No arguing! It is pointless when discussing opinions. Especially online. Which means:

Everyone gets one post, so say as much as you want! And, include pictures if you need to (for examples or supporting your various points).

Everyone, please remember the one post rule one this thread, even if you really really disagree with someone else's post (or even agree with it, and want to congratulate them on having a similar viewpoint as you).

A simple search of bose on these forums would yield what any information wanted on the matter. Although I would like to add that most people don't even know the names of other speaker companies, which is why they assume bose is the best.

Bose makes really good dinosaur sounds, I heard it at best buy. I really felt like I was in a living room watching jurassic park
the surround is so cool, it sounds like there's speakers behind you!
And it's so loud! I bet I could have a closet party with these speakers!
And music is so good with Bose, it almost sounds like there was once an instrument and a voice being recorded.
The base [sic] is so powerful, it will make your house shake.

I highly recommend bose it is amazing they get better sound through research, trust me mang I heard it before.

It's pure magic that they can get such fantastic sound out of that cute little box and those teeny tiny speakers. Noting else compares to them. Who needs all that big, ugly, complex stuff that needs all those unsightly wires to connect when you can get such wonderful sound out of one box and speakers you can barely see.

I did custom speaker builds and repairs for several years in FL during the late 80's and I worked on and tore apart every model they made. I can unequivocally and categorically state that Bose SUCKED then and they are even WORSE now!

My buddy got one in his Speed3 only for the disc changer. Every aspect of Bose was stripped out. He would have changed the LCD display on the changer to Blose if he could have. His system sounds pristine.

I guess it's alright but I'm not much into car sound systems.

You have to keep in mind that Bose isn't marketed to the audiophile. However it's marketed to people who want more than what their TV speakers can give them, they want it to not take over the whole room as far as foot print goes and they want it to be simple to setup.

Would I ever own Bose...**** NO... but I don't value any of the above things...are really no audiophile ever will.

What everyone on hear gets bent out of shape on here about is the cost you put into a Bose system you can get a way better sounding system...however what everyone else fails to realize that isn't why people are buying Bose. However a guy who is middle aged and really isn't a techy and has a wife who is busting his balls because she doesn't want something that is going to be overly complicated or take over the look of the room. Bose is a great product, it's not the best sounding but it's very simple all the way down to whole product setup, its small and fits into most people rooms with out it taking over. The the value they place on their buying decision isn't just on SOUND but the overall package, and they are willing to place a higher value on other things mentioned above. Coming from an audiophile perspective we can't wrap our minds around that. The value of the product if always in the eye of the beholder.
