Hey guys, just finished my new center stand. Here is the link to my picasa photo album of the project. I'll update it once my VP180 comes off of the FEDEX truck sometime today.

You would think FEDEX and UPS could give you a better estimate of when packages would arrive. I hate having to be locked into one location. I can't use hold at location until the package delivery has been attempted once.

Anyway, here's the link:

Very cool design you have there. I like the fact that it serves multiple purposes; it holds your center channel and if need be, you could hit a burglar with the bottom of it and do some real damage!

Thanks. It is definitely a sturdy piece of DIY kit. It was actually fun putting it together, plus it cost me all of about $40 to build.

Looks like you could park a tank on that thing and after looking up your center I see why.

Where did you order the spikes from?

LOVE IT!!:)
Simple, sturdy and very attractive!
It is just like the old Dahlquist DQ-10 stands except much sturdier.
It kills me how much they charge for some stands.
Thanks for getting me thinking about doing the same for my center speaker.

Thanks. I was inspired by the PVC stands I saw on the Internet. I was glad to be able to give back to Audioholics in such a small way. I've gotten so much info from the folks on this site. In addition, my photo album of the stand was featured in Axiom's newsletter this month.

The spikes were leftovers from my Axiom M60s. I used some Klipsch speaker feet on those instead of the spikes and had these left over.
