I have heard speakers with those units. I thought they were good and better than the KEF units.

However I doubt they are better than the SEAS unit. That has done better than the KEF units in third party tests. I use the SEAS in my center speaker and I recommend it.

My dad actually has these speakers and yes it is available OEM. When he first brought them home and hooked it up we eventually had to buy a few different coax adapters from radio shack but that was only because we refuses to upgrade his receiver than he purchased in the mid 90's. Haha. To him it still works great even if the hook ups and adapters are a little pre dated. My father loves this speaker so hopefully you will too.
