Hello all!

Some history to start this off! :)

I'd bought a brand new Rickenbacker 4003 bass last year, got it and absolutely hated it (but that's another story) so I sold it, and bought myself some Paradigms instead, then a TV later, and Playstation, and here we are!

(Top to bottom) PS3, LG LDA-530, Denon AVR-1705 (not in use; it's just there because I had nowhere else to put it), Denon AVR-3311, Panasonic 5-Disc DVD changer, Sony VCR, Samsung 46" LED LCD TV

Love the picture from the panel, "Coraline" on Bluray in 1080P

AVR-3311 outputting a DTS-HD MASTER audio track

Left Paradigm monitor 7, v.6

Klipsch 10" Subwoofer, records and right Paradigm Monitor 7, v.6

Paradigm Monitor Mini's used as surrounds

Remotes galore! I've figured out how to control the TV with the Denon remote, so that makes it a lot easier!

I had to set aside my Technics SL1200, since I don't have room to put it anywhere, so it's residing in my closet for now, until it gets a proper location.
There's my rig!

Every time I watch a movie or play a game in my room, I'm constantly amazed by the quality of the sound, and the picture. I absolutely love my setup!

It's very cozy! :) I've been thinking of that. I'm looking at the Logitech Harmony ones, but then I look at Universal Remote remotes, and other ones and I can't make a decision.

I have a center speaker but nowhere to put it, and I prefer the sound without it, except for the fact that dialogue doesn't come from the TV when I'm not positioned correctly.

I've actually thought about getting a component stand to put my components in, so that I can use my record player again. I miss it.

That's a nice set up. I wish I had an SL-1200 sitting in my closet.

If you're gonna get a Universal remote consider the URC MX350 because MDS says they are awesome.
I bought one for that very reason.

Thanks! I wish my SL-1200 was up and running.

Funny enough, that's the remote that the rest of our systems in our house has, and they are excellent.

Yes, you must get universal remote of some sort...
One more thing - I'd not put anything under TWO AVRs.... Maybe it'll be wiser to put them on the bottom of the stack
Nice cabling job, I seen much worse (on my own AVR )

Funny enough, I was thinking about that last night. Might do some rearranging.

Wow!

Very nice!

Rickenbacker's seem to have a bit of a 'tinny' sound to them. People love them or hate them. I don't mind them, but have heard better.

Thanks!

I did love it, but the E string always sounded dead, no matter what I did, so I sold it.

Nice and relaxing set up. I use to have a Technics SL 1700 Direct Drive Turntable. You brought back memories when you said SL 1200. You made me realize how much I miss that TT. LOVE that Beatles poster!:D

One general question. Do you guys think I would benefit from Paradigm ADP-390's for my rears, as opposed to what I'm using now? I could then use those for surround left and right, then the ADP-390's for back ones. Thoughts?

Whaaat?! Seriously?! I've always thought that they were supposed to be behind you! :(
They're suppose to be 90-110 beside you. Technically that can be a little behind you but in your case even if you can get them beside you, you wouldn't want to jam them right in the corner. I have mine about 2 feet above the listening position and pointed down and forward to intersect about a foot in front of my face. I guess they are at about 90 degrees and about a foot from the corner.
