TV stand with TV mount question

I have a samsung ln46a750 and the auto wall mount that goes with it. Now i have been looking for a tv stand lately and i see those stands with the tv mount attached directly to the stand... does anyone know if those or replaceable because i would love to be able to throw my auto wall mount on that and not have to drill more holes into the wall whenever i move!

The stands typically come with the mount to attach to the TV and then the TV/mount combo just hooks onto the part of the stand that rises above the base unit.

On mine, you can leave off the riser part of the stand and mount the TV to the wall with the included mount so it would likely work with any mount you already have. But then you have an additional mount (either your original or the one that came with the stand) that won't be in use and just taking up space somewhere in storage.


So in other words, if you buy that type of stand just use the mount that came with it and ditch your old one.

well the reason i want to use my mount it because the auto-mount is controlled by the remote (its motorized) which is pretty BA lol

Last time I looked, many of these stands do not include the mount, just the vertical for you to put whatever mount you have on to. The ones that DO include the mount are usually pretty basic and you can just leave it off.

Are you saying I bought a 'basic' stand?

Naturally it varies from manufacturer to manufacturer but mine came with the mount and the mount both tilts and swivels. Not too bad for $200.

Lol. I meant most that come with a mount, the mount is pretty basic not the stand $200 is good for that. I think that is the same one my parents have without the vertical beam and they paid almost that much.
