I have to post about one of my favorite music DVD's. Page and Plant No Quarter. The recording itself is high quality, especially for a live recording, and the music is incredible. I've always been a big Zeppelin fan, and I really wish I could have been in the audience for this show.
There is a wide variety of music on this dvd, from Zeppelin classics like No Quarter and Thank you, to the pure joy of watching the Moroccan footage of City Don't Cry and Wah Wah. There are lots of interesting instruments that you don't usually hear or see, too. Watching the crowds in Morocco react to Jimmy doing his thing is really something to see. I've always been a people watcher, and watching the pure joy of the locals enjoying the music is one of the reasons I like this DVD so much. I also liked watching the string section of the orchestra rocking out to Kashmir. My favorite song would probably have to be The Rain Song. Maybe my favorite Zeppelin song ever, though it's tough to choose.
I highly recomend this DVD...check it out. There is also a bonus track, Black Dog performed at the American Music Awards, and an interview.

I've got one of their CD's and I really tried to like it but somehow it doesn't last in my truck 10 CD changer rotation for long. I feel like I should like their music but no dice. I'm not really sure what my problem is.

If you lived in the GTA and likely went to school here...I now understand why you had to moved.... I'm a huge fan but not so much of their project or side works. Robert Plant's Band of Joy was on HD net recently and I had no interest...I even own the CD but hardly play it.

I might have to check this one out....:)

I'm a Zepplin nut and I really like Plant's projects as well. Page's stuff...not so much, although I love his guitar playing.

I saw RP when Pictures at Eleven was released in early 80's at MLG(fwiw INXS opened) and I own 3 of this albums but I'm not so terribly fond of his more recent collaboration....borrrring.

I was the only one in my class that didn't want to do marathon Stairway sessions every time I smoked. The girls were in the discos. How was I to know that pointing out that simple fact would lead to ostracism? I was banished to the Brass Rail.

The Honey Drippers' Sea of Love on vinyl is one of my favorite tunes on a fine sounding recording. That too was remastered at some later point but probably not on vinyl ... that version should be titled The Double Dippers. :p

I love this one! Kashmir would be my favourite track. I have the CD as well.
Yeah, miune too. :D

It appears that there are two versions of No Quarter. My version does not include track 14: Kashmir. The main Amazon review talks about other differences in the remastered version, one of the differences being better sound quality in your version. I am listening to track 3 now and can't bear the sound of track 3's ending. I never could keep track of the titles of their songs. :(

Also the DVD is linked there for those of you who are interested.

I for one did like the addition of that Middle East sound. I think my main issue is recording quality so if I ever do run into the remastered version with track 14 at a Goodwill store for 2 bucks I will be all over it. ;)

It stems from my heritage, I suppose - a Newfoundlander, who lives in Nova Scotia. Goes without saying!:D

I once put on the headphones and listened to all 8 of those back to back when I was a teen. I think at this point in my life Presence is my favorite. It's very under rated.
I didn't know there were different No Quarter CD's, but I did know that the DVD had more content
