so a few notes on those towers, earlier today i was messing around with some LF test tones and i got 110dB at 35hz without hitting the mechanical limit or experiencing port noise, or even coming close for that matter, out of them. i actually ran out of amplifier power and couldn't go any louder, was at -0dB on the volume control. as far as the statement someone made about these dropping like a rock to 30hz, this isn't true, they will go down to 30hz with useful output about 6dB down, they do drop like a rock to 20 however. i was also messing around with my crappy psw10 earlier and found out the amp in it goes into clipping really really easily so im glad i can finally take it out of the equation the sad thing is the 70s even have larger ports. the 70s can easily dig deeper then the psw10 effortlessly with great dynamics. the center channel goes down to 40hz flat, drops like a rock to 30hz, stops making useful noise after about 35hz. after all of the random tone testing, i decided to sit down and listen to Hans Zimmer's inception soundtrack in 5.1 DTS at -18dB, sounded absolutely fantastic. 800 dollars well spent.
