Do you know what the differences are in the Denon (series 3 & 5).... I have the Denon 2809CI. But I am going to post lots of questions about it as I need to get it revved up and running. I have it going but I think the cable guy Screwed it upwhen he brought the HDpvr and said he knew what he was doing. he did not!! And I may have let the Audyssey tone it down lots. I will compose all my thoughts of where I need help to try to set this Denon up and get more out it.... probably write the thought up and paste them to the forums.

Thanks

I didn't realize we were talking cars now... What's the top of the German cars? How about Italian?

:D

I'm not a fan of Onkyo products across the board due to reliability.

Denon actually has almost ZERO difference between their series. Sometimes I don't think there is a difference at all. One is their 'custom' install piece, while the other is their 'retail' install piece. So, you find the 989 in Best Buy, but the 2809 in Magnolia.

Same price for both, same inputs on both, same power and everything else on both.

Shoot, was going to show examples from their website, but it's down right now. Oh well.

Back OT, the 2809 uses Audyssey MultiEQ XT which does a very good job initially but may need to be tweaked a little afterwards.

Sherwood.

Sherwood the maker of those $79.00 receivers, make a few of Denon's rigs.

True.

So is Lexus the top of the Japanese car food chain, followed by Acura, followed by Infinity?:D
Technically they are all supposed to be equal. I would argue lexus is the nicest but all it really is

Toyata is to Lexus
as
Nissan is to Infinity
as
Honda is to Acura

Lexus, Infinity and Acura are just the American luxury brands for their bigger global brands. Toyota, Nissan and Honda.

Not to Nitpick, but isn't it Infiniti?

I've always been partial to Acura. Maybe because they were the first and my first few cars were Honda's.

Yep, it's INFINITI. You beat me to it.

High-end class+top-end reliability. Lexus.

Sport/class+top-end reliability. Acura.

Upscale sports car performance+expected sports car maintenance expense to be reliable. Infiniti.

I know. We owned a G35 coupe for eight years. Bad to the bone, but expensive to own.

Got my wife a Honda now, and I am a Toyota truck guy.
