After a lot of thinking, talking to couple of contractors. Wife and I decided to purchase another house. Since I really want to focus on a dedicated HT room and wife wants a bigger kitchen and garage, and of course bigger house overall.

But I still wanted to give a huge thanks to the ones on my original post
http://forums.audioholics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71187
to give ideas on my current home (future HT build).

We have decided to buy a new house. Traveling about 80 miles and looking @ model homes from other subdivisions. We finally found a house that is going to "flow" for us.

With that being said, I want a one-story and this specific home is one-story, but with a $$$$ option to make the attic into a huge game room.

So we loved the model and and I am impressed with the setup, I think I finally found my dream HT :D

We put our savings down on it and they will be breaking ground in about 3-months. The reason why I opt this is because it is rainy season here and I prefer to get the home starting after the winter season is gone. We getting a lot of rain here in TX in the winters.

So in about 8-10 months we'll be in our new home.

So here are pics of what my dedicated HT size is going to be. I am debating if I want to have a bathroom and instead, it be my storage room.

I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

Already hired a person home inspector. ;:

Check it out:

PS: Also much better school system for my kids ;)
Didn't want you all to think that the only reason I wanted to move was for a better HT room, but it is an excuse ;) :D

Looks like it has good dimensions/symmetry for a nice HT setup.:D

Congrats, looks like a nice space for HT.

I'd opt for the bathroom. It'll have much better resale value over a storage room. that and I'm too lazy to to walk downstairs to pee (like most people) :D

My little bro used to pee downstairs when he was playing video games because he was too lazy to come upstairs. We don't have a bathroom down there.

Thank you!! I did confirm with the builder and told him to proceed and have the bathroom.

I just picked the lot and hope they will start surveying the land and making sure none of the trees will be killed off (I want them oaks!!)

It's very roomy!! This Friday I am getting with the builder to confirm the size of the total room space. I am also getting a door installed before going down the stairs :D
