HDMI transmitting power supply noise?

AS the thread title states, when I've got my laptop plugged in to both its power supply and the HDMI cable I've started getting some really bad noise.

It's not a ground loop. These are higher in frequenciy.. not sounds you want to be hearing.

I think it may be the power supply or the laptop's motherboard, and I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this before?

Thats interesting. I thought a digital signal (such as that carried through HDMI) was immune to noise as its an all or nothing sort of thing.
