I just had a new system put in for my Christmas present on 12/15 and now I'm having an issue. Any advice would be helpful to me!
I have a 58" Samsung 8000 series tv, Marantz sr6005, mx450 universal remote with RF base, and all Atlantic Technology speakers and sub. It was installed by a company that I found thru servicemagic.
It has worked fine until 12/30. What happens is that the tv started cutting off and would very briefly flash a blue screen with writing that stated something about the tv supporting something. I finally was able to see the error code HDCP-019. I googled that and after a little research, I found that their were others with this same problem that were with the same carrier as me (Time Warner Cable). I seen where people had stated that the Scientific Atlantic digital cable boxes were the issue and that after getting TWC to swap out the boxes to the Cisco boxes, they problem has been solved.
I called TWC and they told me to bring the boxes in for an exchange. I took them in but they only had Samsung digital boxes. I figure since the tv is Samsung, no problem. It was a simple swap and worked fine until after midnight last night. Now, the screen does not flash but goes black and the word "Marantz" stays on the screen. It stayed that way for 20 minutes last night. This morning, the system worked for 10 minutes and did the same thing but after several minutes, the black screen went away and is now working.
I have searched for results and seem not to find a definitive answer. Please help if you have the expertise that I need. Connections?, HDMI cable?, Digital cable box?, Receiver? Happy new year everybody!
