This is certainly much better than previous renditions. I guess it was a step in the right direction for you to have come to Audioholics.

looks like you have a great little system there! ...or not so little! a HUGE improvement over your last! you are going to be addicted to this hobby now from the looks of things. upgrading and hearing the results is so rewarding isnt it? if you need help with your computer, post in the HTPC forum. I am an IT technician and among others on this board would be happy to assist in getting some tunes out of that PC! It looks like you are in a dorm or a small bedroom..? Speaker placement could do wonders for your sound quality, so experiment! but most of all, HAVE FUN!! thanks for posting!

ps. sounds like your need to change a jumper or change the position of your HDD on the cable if your PC wont boot with it connected. it is looking at that HDD for the OS. Or you could enter your boot menu in the BIOS and select the proper drive. if you need help, post.

i just love old skool speakers like those. growing up we would go to the malls. believe it or not, there were nice stereo shops around back then. and they had all versions of those kind of speakers and gear. i just loved looking at them and dreaming. as i got into high school, i became friends with a guy older than me (nice to have someone that can get ya beer :D). he had a CONCEPT reciever and FISHER 15" speakers. they were kinda large. we would have "concerts" now & then. blasting out the neighborhood !!! ahhh, the good ol days.

Great post! It's very nice. Thank you so much for your post.

Nice setup :D

Your speakers remind my of some Jamo speakers I always wanted when I was a kid. I must have spent hours staring at that page in the Argos catalogue.

that is one of the best small systems i have seen . . . !!!
have you ever tried custom made speakers , they really are the best .

Very cool
All you need now is a bigger TV...

got a new center speaker. kenwood crs-15. $4.99 a dollar more than my old one, and 100 times better

Keep digging. Get a job and save up some money, have a ton of patience and just troll craigslist, searching it every morning for what you are looking for.

I continually traded up until I got what i wanted. Got everything I have in my theater AND my 2 channel music system for literally less than $1000 out of my pocket for EVERYTHING. Took me about a year, and a lot of bartering and trading up until I got there.

(you can check the links in my sig to see both systems)

i bought a sansui se-77 equalizer yesterday for $8. works great and looks great. i probably didnt need it but it was sansui and it was $8 so oh well
