video recording from a receiver

I am not sure if this is the right place for this post. I have a Yamaha RX-V2700 receiver.

Everything is hooked up to this receiver : xbox, ps3, and so on. I would love to use the hdmi out port to record some games on xbox and ps3.

Obviously, I will need a video card that takes hdmi. Has anybody done something like this before? If so, any recommended cards, video editing software?

thanks in advance.

Digital rights management will prevent that. One of the design goals of HDMI is to prevent what you want to do.

I think you will find dazzle will only work for material without DRM, like Home movies.
