I will be using it for about 70% music and 30% movies. My room is 10x12 so its pretty small. I was looking at the ed a2-250. Would this be a wise choice? This is my first subwoofer so I'm a bit unsure.

That's a small room so it shouldn't take much. Just keep in mind that it's down firing and if you have anybody under you you'll probably want an isolation pad.

Then I'd probably go for overkill and an A2-300 just because.

Hi, I also mostly use to 70% to music and 30% 'movies and my room size is 12 14 and ceiling is 7 feet that is neither large nor high. Would you please recommend me the Dolby digital surrounding system sub-woofers?

In that size room I'd stick with a sealed sub like an Epik Legend or two Emotiva Ultra subs.

I have a 10 X 12 room and a Hsu STF 2 can shake the room. It's fine for both movies and music, fairly cheap at about $360 for woofer and shipping. I ordered on from the web and had it in about 3 days. It's strong down to about 25 Hz and I use a 80 Hz "brick wall" cutoff for flat response along with my NHT speakers. I don't think you can go wrong with this and, as good as it is, it's really cheap.
