Purchased my BluRay copy equipped with standard DVD copy and digital rights copy at Wallmart yesterday for $31.00 taxes in. I haven't cracked it yet but can't wait to play it.

IIRC, Futureshop has it for $17.99 also I believe...(*just checked and it is $26.99 online) Amazon.CA has it for $26.99 with free shipping beacuse it is over $25.

BTW, there is already a very long thread about this movie, but you may want to skip it until you watch the movie because there are a LOT of spoilers in that thread.

That 17.99 is for the standard DVD and not the Blu-ray package I bought. Already checked Futurshop. ;)

Do we keep this thread seperate because its a blu ray or do we merge? :p

I loved that movie :)
I'm not sure I loved it, but it was definitely good. My roommate on the other hand thinks that the movie was absolutely terrible. It seems most people either loved it or hated it.

Just keep it separate like your identity as a Canadian even though you're just a suburb of Detroiut. :D :p

My copy should be here today from Amazon but I have Scott Pilgrim from Netflix to watch :)

I don't consider it to be a great movie, but I enjoyed it. The concept had already been done before in a Japanese anime, but the concept was stepped up a notch here. The visuals are far more over the top in the anime though.

I'll be the one wierdo and say that I didn't really like Inception. It was definitely a cool idea, but I just wasn't really into it. I just don't get all the Nolan love. I thought Memento was ok, but I haven't really been into his other movies. Batman Begins was ok, not great and I HATED Dark Knight.

I did like how the ending was open to interpretation. What does everyone think who saw it? Did Leo get out or not?

Probably better suited for the previous thread on the movie, not this one :)

As for Nolan, I like The Following and Memento. I do think he is a good director, but the Batman movies are something entirely different than where he started IMO.

My copy has been here since Monday. I love the preorder guarantee, no thinking involved, well, sorta. I've been holding out, because I will have a bunch of people over tomorrow night for a showing.

I was a little disappointed with Inception in the theaters, because I had really silly high expectations.

The Prestige is one of my favorite Nolan movies. I wouldn't be surprised if I end up buying every one of his titles, assuming they come out on BD. There are only a very small handful of directors/houses I will do this with, like the Coen Bros, Pixar, Jeunet/Caro, maybe Truffaut, I dunno. I will buy most, but not all, Tarantino flicks.

I own most of them - Following is not on BD and the 10th anniversary Memento was recently announced so I will be picking that up. I have the limited edition Memento SD DVD that has the chronological cut also. I haven't seen "Doodlebug", which is apparently his first short film.

I like some of the Coen brothers movies, but not all of them, and I liked all of Tarantino's stuff, but only own the ones I liked the most. The only Pixar movie I own on BD but don't like is Cars.

Can anyone comment on the PQ/AQ? I'm really hoping to give my sub a workout this weekend ;)

I will throw it in tonight and let you know. I am sure both will be good. The sound was excellent in the theater, so I expect this disc will likely be good for audio as well.

Audio 5 stars :D:D:D:D:D

"Warner's DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround track is, by my estimation, one of the best -- if not the best -- lossless audio mixes of the year. Powerful, engaging, resonant, immersive, overwhelming... all applicable adjectives, all wholly inadequate when describing the sonic stunner that awaits listeners. LFE output is robust and rewarding, fully embracing every tumbling van, falling elevator, devastating explosion, collapsing building, burst of gunfire, and hair-raising crescendo and brassy bellow in Hans Zimmer's score. The rear speakers are just as involving, granting Nolan's world all the nuance and activity it requires. Interior acoustics and environmental ambience, whether real or surreal, are given the support of the entire soundfield, and directionality is as convincing as it is precise. Through it all, dialogue remains undeterred, and the actors' lines, whether shouted or whispered, are never lost in the mind-bending madness. Voices dwell and thrive within the mix (yet never succumb to its ground-shaking force), effects are crystal clear, and prioritization is spot on. In fact, I don't have a single gripe to share. To put it mildly, Inception sounds utterly fantastic. "

Another thing I wish [my words] more good movies would come with, is this-

"5.1 Inception Soundtrack (Disc 2, HD, 39 minutes): Hans Zimmer's pulse-pounding film score is presented in 5.1 surround sound via a captivating DTS-HD Master Audio mix. The only downside? Rather than fill the experience with concept art, production photos or film stills, the screen simply remains black during all ten tracks. Even the option to listen to the score with some sort of visual component would have been appreciated. That being said, I listened to the entire soundtrack while writing my review. Not a bad way to spice up a few otherwise tedious hours."

The PQ is excellent as expected. The sound is awesome on this one. I think I commented about this in the movie thread, but this one no doubt tops Heat for best shootout sound. Bullets whizzing by and when they fire something big, the sound has the weight I expect to hear - and there are multiple scenes :) There are plenty of good LFE points in this one also.
