Finally landed the job I've been shooting for for 6 months now!
Conceptual design and storyboard artist for Bloom Animation in Denver.
The job itself is nothing fantastic, currently working on a short for T-Mobile.

.....but!....The whole point of this was to gain experience...
Had a meeting with the VFX sup for our company, and he is going to be teaching me all he knows. He happens to be Ed Kramer. Oscar Award-winning VFX artist and technical director from ILM who made a few movies that you may have seen....Pirates of the Carribean, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, The Mummy, etc.

Pretty pumped, AND I finally get health insurance again!

(and yes, I still have my tattoo shop and do that full-time as well)

Sweet gig man, congrats. Sounds like fun. Pixar is pretty close-by in Emeryville. I see their operation over there and think, "That must be the coolest place in the world to work."

Pixar is the holy grail of digital arts. If you can get in there, you'll never want to work anywhere else again.

Congrats man! Way to go.

I still want to drop by and take the Pixar tour. My buddy lives right up the street from it in some lofts in Emmeryville and you can see the Pixar building from his roof.
