Universal blu-ray players?

What's the current status of universal blu-rays, ie. that also play SACDs and DVD-A's?

I'm looking for a reasonably priced one (couple of hundred or less) but info seems sketchy. I thought Yamaha's model BDS1065BL blu-ray also played SACDs but I don't find consistent references to that.

Oppo BDP-80 also seems to be a lower priced blu-ray that plays SACDs.

Where can these be found. Any other brands/models at sane prices/

This is what you need.

When this product is released I would be prepared to give you a deal on my BD 83. It is less than a year old and has been well taken care of. It has always been in a house with whole house surge protection and powered via a smart UPS with voltage tightly controlled.

So what is the deal with universal BD players anyway?

What is the difference between the OPPO or Yamaha and say the PlayStation 3? Does one have an advantage over the other? How about quality wise?

I don't mean to jack this thread but I believe it's still on topic.

Thanks!

PS3 will not play SACD & DVD-A.

First generation PS3s will play SACD, but only through HDMI.
They will play via the standard connector (PS2 style) in stereo analog also, and it is both first (20G and 60G) and some second generation (80G) PS3s.
