That's a cozy little room, can't really tell how big it is except from the looks of those seats it must be tiny. I bet it's quite the fun experience to turn the lights down and watch a movie in there!

Just came across your room. Really digging the layout....very good job with placement & use of space.

How do you like the Titanic being in what looks like the closet? Other than it looking better with the cabinet now under the Panny, did you gain any sonic benefits?...Increased dB or smoother response?

I have 2 10" subs in a much bigger room yet I would love to try out your setup. A 15" in a 960cubicft closed room...your makin me jealous! :)

Good job! Enjoy...

After moving it into that closet, I had to add some rubber to the doors to bring down the vibrations from where they contacted the walls, and also got a bit of a spike in the response that took a bit of eq work to smooth back out.
It sounds pretty smooth now, with it directly in front though, it sounded very direct and punchy, very good hit to your chest. In the closet it sounds smoother and feels like it reaches lower a little better, but not some impactful.

Those are indeed some nice chairs. How did you mount your RB strats on the wall like that?
2 long framing nails for each. Space them appropriately so that the neck fits inbetween them and the head of the controller sits on top of them

A good punch in the chest with movies is fun but its always nice to hear & feel good clean smooth bass output. Plus it looks way better over to the side & the nice equipment rack set up under the TV.
Again, good job looks fun!

And, put that submarine back up where it belongs.....;)
that little thing was too much work to hide away! Its in the living room with my other Navyjunk!

Not neanderthal at all

It is a great use for a little space. I will probably end up in a smaller place and my place is already small. I like how you integrated a nice system in a small room and made the most of the space.

After talking with a few forum members, I have decided to build a new, vented enclosure for the Titanic to up it's overall output slightly.

Looks like it's gotta be large to sound right, to the tune of about 10.5 cubic ft.

A vented box will not couple well to that tiny room without heavily EQing down the lower bass imo

By the time I actually finish building, I'll be in a much larger place. Thats what kind of spurred the whole need for a new enclosure.

Are those chairs comfortable after, say, 2 hours of sitting on them? They seem like they would be comfortable? Can you tilt them up more or are they just that one position and thats all?

But, overall, thats a nice setup you have :)

I like your setup as the HT room I am going to have is 11x14. So at least this gives me some idea of my layout.

Love those seats TOO!!. They look comfy, can you easily fall asleep on them?

Overall, you digging the sound in this room? It does not seem to excessive? Any other further plans or wish you could have done different?

I don't personally feel that it's excessive., Because of the size, the effective output from the sub is very high, and can be quite punishing, but, that's why they have gain knobs on them!
I would, of course, wish I could fit more people than just 2 in there, but that's the space I have, so not much could be done about that, overall quite happy with it.
As far as plans, same as everyone, I guess, get a larger display. Would like a 65", but I've been dumping so much money into building my 2 old cafe bikes, that a new tv will have to wait til those are done.

Replaced my Panasonic 601 with Pioneer Elite BDP23FD.

Still have to go back a re-cal, but the picture is noticably cleaner out of the box.

....and, I scored again on craigslist!

Added a second Titanic 15" to the mix, now gotta crawl them around to get it right. It's not in the prebuilt Dayton box, but a home-build based on it. But raw MDF. Will probably buy the finished enclosure from parts-express.
