What to do with old Laserdiscs?

I have a bunch of old Laserdiscs I'm looking to get rid of. Does anyone still collect these things? I recently got rid of my combo player but I don't know what to do with the crates of LDs I still have. I don't want to just throw them out, but I wanted to check with you guys about ways to get rid of them. Is Ebay worth the time and trouble, or should I be looking at Craigslist or someplace else?

I think you will have a lot more luck with ebay than craigslist.

There are also at least a few folks at AVS that still maintain a laserdisc library. Lemme go see what I can find.

Oh wow, there are a lot of hits, and I'm talking current ones too. I'd post up at AVS classifieds too perhaps. I'm sure there are other or better ideas, but the two above is what I presently advise.

Put a high enough reserve on each one and post a list- make it clear that they're priced separately and there are no returns but eBay should be a good way to get a good payout. If they're in decent condition, you shouldn't have a problem selling them.

that is why i don't buy media. i bought many LD's. watched em 1 time, and there they sit.

but, when i move, i am going to use them for room art. and i will most likely have my player hooked up.

I would also be interested in getting a list of what you have. I'd be particularly interested in a Dolby Digital or DTS version of Jurassic Park.

I would love to buy any of the small 8" Laserdiscs that you would have. It doesn't matter what is on them, as long as they aren't too scratched up. I need them for an art project. Seems like they were mostly used for demo discs and karaoke singles. Anyone that has them, send me an email at: accdnprone77-AAAT-yahoo-DOT-Cawm
