PS3 slim + integrated Amp?

How do you connect a PS3 slim to an integrated amp? I've researched this and have come up with nothing. The Ps3 slim has a "multi-out" connection but can this be used to connect to the amp, and will I get HD audio as a result? I'm considering the Rega Mira3, Naim Nait 5i, or Arcam FMJ A28. Thanks.

Yes, the multi out can be used as an analog stereo output. The PS3 will decode all formats natively, so you will in affect get stereo HD audio.

Thanks for your reply. Is there a better cable I can get as opposed to the flimsy one that comes with the PS3 slim, or will it even make a difference?

The stock cable would probably be fine, assuming it's not faulty.

You are not going to get "HD" audio via the included connector, you are going to get stereo, period.

The PS3 still decodes whatever the format is, it audio quality will remain exeptional for the purpose of a 2.0 setup. He obviously isn't going to get surround sound if that's what you refering to "HD" audio.

Yeah, players can all downmix to 2.0 PCM. Besides missing discrete surround, the only other issue is possible compression.
