Does Rythmik or Epik ship overseas?
Epik won't, they told me I could have it freight forwarded to Canada if I wanted although they'd have to void the warranty.

Rythmik may, I know people order the DIY kits overseas IIRC, not sure about finished boxes.

They are not going to recommend any other subwoofer are they? There will be always be a bias if you call a manufacturer.
No, I would not expect Rythmik to tell you to buy an Epic.

However, I do expect them to suggest the best option among their own models so you are comparing their best option against the competition.

If you are looking at a Rythmik and really want the best sound for music (and I am assuming your room is not too big for two F12G's to fill, that is a better option than their 15" model.

They are not real quick to point this out because they realize many people just want a 15" sub - for bragging rights, or whatever.
I do believe their 15" sub offers outstanding fidelity.

So where does the Legend come into this? Its one thing for a particular product to gain a large following but does that mean it is better? What does better mean?

There is also the price difference of about $300 between the Legend and the 12" Rythmik. I believe that is the main reason for the popularity of the Epik subs, a lot of bang for your buck.

Hard to say which one will be better for you.

If this response is to me in particular, my answer is "I haven't a clue". I was merely pointing out that, based on what I believe you are saying about the SQ you are after, the Rythmik F12G may be a better option than an F15, and it may be worth your while to speak with Rythmik to discuss which of their offerings best fits your needs. Rythmik makes a very good musical sub. I have no idea if the Epik models are lesser, equal, or better.

We can help you narrow it down to good choices, but you are ultimately the one to decide what is best for you.

Letting us know a budget would certainly get you a more specific list of good subs!:)

My legend sub has a few problems. You can still hear a small amount of music and higher frequencies coming through even when you set the crossover to the lowest setting.

And it can easily be localised in the room. Perhaps its the room itself.
