How much is a baby worth?

I've read that crack babies can go for a bargain basement price of 200.00 or an 8-ball of coke. So seems like you have negotiating room to get a great deal.:D

To those that truly deserve them, they are priceless.

To those that have them due to laziness in preventing pregnency and don't want 'em, whatever they can get for them.

But, this was gramma and her beau. Gramma didn't make or want the baby. The daughter dropped the kid, got sent to jail and gramma got stuck with the kid. The system should have stepped in and taken the kid before this happened.

Is that a worth price or cost price.;):D If it is cost, then it is a negative worth price.:D But then, one has to consider inheritance values and such.

I find the word "beau" humorous, in the context that it would certainly be used in this instance "boo" LOL.:D

Even better than that; it mentions she is 45 years old.
If she's 45, I'm Alex's uncle :D....(see what I did there), instead of saying monkey's uncle.

A guy I worked with adopted a Russian baby. The kid cost him almost as much and there was a high risk of getting shafted in the deal. Lots of wheels had to be greased and to my way of thinking he was lucky to get out with the kid. Now the kid's in his teen's and plays baseball a lot ... like an American kid ... except he's a commie.

If anybody wants to buy a human to feed and clean up after they can have me.
Should they want me to sh!t my pants, that's extra. :D

My wife and I have been trying to get pregnant for one and a half years. She'll be 44 next month, so the egg age is our challenge. We've never had a baby and want nothing more. We have been going to fertility clinics and getting IVF attempts and other procedures trying to conceive, and we have not had any luck. When I hear about a child that is not treated well or not wanted it breaks my heart. How can someone put a price on it. We've spent over $30K with our attempts as our insurance doesn't cover these attempts, but it was worth every penny. If things don't work out, I can't look back and say we didn't try like hell. If we end up not being able to have one, we'll adopt, but we'd like to try ourselves first. How can someone sell a child is difficult for me to imagine.

When someone feels entitled to most/all of what they get in life, they take everything for granted, including children. Often, the only thing they value is the image they think they're presenting and if they were to be confronted by reality, they would definitely not agree with how they're seen by others.

They cost WWWAAAYYYYY more than that!!!!!!!!!!!! Trust me.....
Boy you aint kidding....
My son was premature by almost 90 days, his birth weight was 2.0lbs... he was in the hospital in the neo natal unit for 90 days. This was 19 years ago and the cost came to roughly $500K my insurance covered most of this cost, but was paying the leftover bills for many many years to come... 1/2 way through the 90 days, they called me down as he was bleeding into his lungs and was not looking like he would make it. The priest was reading him his last rights when I got down there as fast as I could from work.

He is in good shape now, but raising him myself for the last 16 years, I can expect that # reached closer towards $1M in the end with his mediacal bills along the way and when his College education is paid for...

I can't imagine what the bill for that same situation would be this day and age...

Good thing for humanity that we have a surplus.
I predict that there will be a huge sale right before the holidays.
Buy 1 get 1 half off of equal or lesser value.

I just hope by half off they aren't talking about the cutting the baby in half.

This story gets crazier and crazier...

Try to keep up:

Apparently the grandmother Bigby has done this before. She sold the sister of the daughter that is in jail to a previous family. Grandma was working as a waitress and overheard a couple talking about how upset they were that they couldn't have anymore children. She had also sold a son that she had previously. So she had sold 2 children before this.

The woman that she tried to sell her grandchild to was in fact her own daughter that she had previously sold!!! Apparently she was somehow able to get in contact with the people that bought her child before and thought, "Hey who else should I sell my granchild to than the kid I gave up before."

Also, they said that they were planning on having the daughter in jail continue to get pregnant so that they could keep making money selling kids. Not only that, but grandma was swindling her own daughter. She was supposed to sell the kid for $30,000 but had told the daughter that they were getting only $10,000 so grandma was planning on pocketing the other $20,000. Real pillars of the community these people.
