The Girl Who Played With Fire BD

The second installment (Girl With The Dragon Tattoo). This one was very good also. Not quite as deep of a story as the first; sort of laying down a further progression of the story and it is still a good one. Again, it kept me interested the whole time like the first did, and it is easy to get involved with the main characters. Going into it knowing that the third is coming means this one does sort of have a "Empire Strikes Back" feel to it, in that they intentionally leave you hanging, and that is sort of bittersweet. Can't wait for the next one :)

PQ and AQ are both good on this one - not among the top teir, but good. The story is so interesting that if there were any issues with PQ or AQ, I probably wouldn't have noticed on a first viewing :) If you liked the first one, though a little slower than the first, this one was able to deliver also. Recommended.

I feel exactly the same way. It was a bit weaker than the first and even though one main story line did not finish another one did and made it feel like a complete movie even with the questions left open at the end.

I see DVD's of the final movie on ebay but no Blu-rays yet.

Finally saw the first one tonight and the 2nd tomorrow. WOW, intense. I guess they can make good films too. What a story, scenery, etc.
Thanks guys.:D

The final one is showing at select theaters now. I saw it on the Marquee at the theater in the Pruneyard.

I have this movie at home right now, I'll probably watch it this weekend. I started reading Dragon Tattoo yesterday. I just got to the part where Lisbeth was giving her report on Blomquist to Frode. It wasn't touched on in the movie but in the book, Lisbeth's boss actually has a thing for her. ;)

Fantastic series. Everything is flawlessly done from start to finish of all 3 movies. Love em! It really amazed me how good the acting, script, and camera work were. IMO this is head and shoulders above 90% of the movies coming out of Hollywood.

What's the name of the 3rd instalment?

I guess movies don't or cannot follow books in every respect. If you read the Bourne books it too is different.

In this movie you can see hints of that during her visit to him at his office. Very subtle but that is what makes these movies so good are the details.

Just thought of asking. Is the theater showing with subtitles or dubbed English? I cannot stand subtitles. I may have to wait for the BD.

My local small theater showing this but no one human by phone and rather not make a trip to be disappointed and come home. Thanks

The only way I can handle dubbing is if the actors themselves perform in English on the dubbed track. That doesn't happen too often. I watched Girl w/Dragon Tatoo for about a minute dubbed before I had to switch back to subs. Once I did, I enjoyed the movie very much. I'm sitting on TGWPWF right now. A badly dubbed film takes one out of the story. YMMV

If I have to read the subs, I spend too much time on it and not the video:eek: Or, miss the subs and what they said. But that's just me. Perhaps one of those speed reading courses?

I'm about halfway through this and all I can say is that the Swedes have some really strange sexual practices. They need to tone it down a notch. I'm stay stateside. :D
