are there low profile 5.1 cards?

i have a small form factor computer and it has low profile pci slots so i want to find a low profile 5.1 sound card. i haven't had any luck yet. do they even exist?

also if there are any cheap low profile video cards with s-video out, let me know

I don't know about a slim PCI card, but you can also do 5.1 through USB.

I got one of these a few years ago from CTG. I guess they don't carry it anymore, but it does work great.

why would i need one of those?

i am assuming you mean that the faceplate on the card (the metal piece that fits into the case on the back of the PC) is too big. you can replace the large one with a smaller one. a lot of cards are shipped with both brackets. If you dont have it, you may have to drill out holes on an existing plate.

i dont care if the faceplate is too big because i can modify it but the card itself has to be low profile or i wont fit in my computer

that one is virtual 5.1, im pretty sure my receiver does the same thing right now. i did find this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829126101 its not virtual 5.1 and its cheaper, so will be considering this but i would much rather have an internal card. i do already have a 5.1 card but it is not low profile
