I hope you did something to celebrate him in spirit! It's the little things that help you remember how they lived and not how they died. For the past few years my brother's friends came over and baked cakes for him on his birthday, so this year they came over and baked a cake like they did every other year. It was very touching, and my mom really appreciated it.

I think my family and I will start celebrating his birthday. I was unable to this past week due to unforeseen circumstances, but I intend to.

I agree 100%! Could not have said it any better. That is nice of you that you remember your brother. Like you, I am missing my sister. Both are gone but will never be forgotten.

I went back and read your thread about when your brother died. I can tell he meant the world to you. Whenever you can celebrate his life and if that means celebrating his birthday every year then by all means do so. I'm sure he would like that.
