how much it cost or do you have a link for a free download? Does anyone have the files they could send me if I provided an email address?

I am a fan of AnyDVD-HD. Free trial plus pretty easy to use.

I've used AnyDVD for over a year. I don't like the fact that it rips the ENTIRE disc.

In the last year, I've been using DVDFab (the current version is DVDFab 8) for ripping BDs.

DVDFab allows you to rip just the main movie and just the main soundtrack and subtitles without having to use another software.

For example, I rip just the main movie and the DTS-HD MA or TrueHD and English subtitles, instead of all the available soundtracks & subtitles.

The design is very simple to use.

I love DVDFab.

And it's much, much cheaper compared to AnyDVD. I think I paid around $50 for a LIFETIME DVDFab license. AnyDVD HD is a lot more.

I still can't get this to work. It will not read my BR drive no matter what I try. I may be stuck going the AnyDVD/Clown BD route out of necessity. I have contacted DVDFab and they suggested loading the disk after the software starts or starting playback of the movie. Well I tried loading the disk first and that did not work and I don't have blu-ray playback software on the server. That is what the PCH is there for. I used to have PowerDVD 7 but I can't find the disk.

Do you have to start the software first? What model drive do you have? Thanks.:)

What BD drive do you have? I have a LG drive that sometimes won't recognize certain blu ray discs, while my older LG blu ray drive has always read every disc, even the ones the newer drive won't recognize.

I have an ASUS BC-08B1LT. Using AnyDVD it has recognized ever disk I've put in it. I think it is the way they initiate the UDF 2.5 file ripper. AnyDVD initiates this as soon as you put a disk in and reads the region of the disk.

I've ended up going with AnyDVD HD. After going back and fort with DVDFab's tech support the only way they suggested I could get it to work was to the movie in PowerDVD and then their software would recognize it. This will not be viable for me as I use remote desktop to access this machine and you cannot run PowerDVD via remote desktop.

So for me:

AnyDVD HD is more expensive and Clown BD to pull the movie only work every time and produce great results.
DVDFab cheaper but not working for me.

You could use RealVNC instead of Remote Desktop.
