I am selling a near mint Harman Kardon CDR 2 (8/10 on audiogon scale). This dual well recorder works as excellent as it looks and sounds great too with its quality AKM digital to analog converters. The CDR 2 can dub your CDs up to 4x speeds, but allows slower speeds if you have discs with scratches you wish to make copies of. I had a CD that was damaged (purchased used) that would not play correctly in most of my CD players. After copying that disc I have no problems with the copy in my other CD players.

The CDR 2 will allow you to copy to CD-R (audio only) and CD-RW (audio only) discs. This means it will not copy to standard data use discs, so please keep this in mind when considering purchasing this item.

Yes, you could use this to record from a quality record player assuming there is a phono preamplifier between the recorder and the record player (could also be done with a receiver that has a phono input as well as a tape loop). Doing individual tracks is relatively simple. Play the track you want while recording. Stop recording at the end of the track or tracks you wish to record. When you go to add more tracks you repeat the process. Once you've finished your compilation you finalize the disc. After the disc is finalized you cannot erase or add tracks.
