I just hooked up my new Denon, and have the following issue.

I want the Playstation to output audio over HDMI, and to output video over composite. I have the composite connection hooked up to the "BD" input on the receiver, and the HDMI hooked up to HDMI-1. The output from the receiver to the TV is over component video.

When I change the input assignment for the PS3 to HDMI, I lose the video. I'm assuming this is because of the priority that the Denon has with video inputs (HDMI, Component, then Composite.) Can I change that, or am I buggered? If I hook up the PS3 with a component cable, will that work?

I think if you hook up HDMI that will take priority for the video, if you want your video to be composite or component, then I think you will need to hook your audio up via toslink.

Thata what i ended up doing, so i pretty much have to get a new tv now. Not a big deal though; i was planning on it anyways.

Also, I have an issue where my 64GB iPod touch 3rd gen shows up fine when I connect it, but whenever I try to play something, it buffers the song, but the song never starts - it just sits there, and the buffer occasionally changes from 100% to 90%, 80% 100% etc... Also, I'm assuming the artist and track etc. are supposed to show up on the TV GUI but doesn't. Just says "Now Playing".

Anyone? My ipod does have the latest software on it, though I haven't done any firmware updates on the Denon as it's difficult to do so with my current networking, and Internet configuration.

You might want to post over at AVS forum. There is a specific forum for your model.
A gentleman named batpig is the resident denon genius over there and will probably point you in the right direction.

Thanks for the tip. I posted over there, and apparently it's not a fault of the AVR's, but with the new iOS software for the ipods.

Using my iphone4 running the lastest FW, the Denon and phone communicate just fine. Zero problems. Perhaps a FW update might help?? Good luck, hope you get the problem sorted out. :)
