Another possible rental around the season. This is the story of a couple who returns home only to hear a loud knock on their door. It's just one thing after another, and it's not so much constantly brutal as it is constantly building; mainly tension.

Lots of high depth of field shots leave you wondering about what is around, and the 'evil' spends much more time terrorizing than they do brutalizing.... which is somewhat more effective for me than just killing for 2 hours (which my generation is fairly numb to). I think the word would be 'uncomfortable' for a viewer, and longer than is typically possible. The sound also helps with this, it's very dynamic, spacial and tense.

The movie makes for great tension, but ultimately doesn't leave much for thought after that beyond the typical 'check and make sure your gun is loaded before going to bed tonight' credit roll thought.

the first time i watched this movie, i didnt like it at all, it was good through out, but the ending made me hate it. i watched this again last year with some new quipment, and the effects made us turn it off, lol, sounds wussy, but was just making us jump to much and wasent in the mood to be jumped out of my skin anymore. I like this movie more for its make you jump effects then the whole story. would i watch it again, yes. let us know what you thought J garcia

Yeah, I thought the sound was really well done/scary in this. I don't want to have any spoilers, but to me, the scariest part was how they did the sound. If you have it cranked its hard not to jump. I was watching it with a friend and it became almost funny how much we jumped.

This movie sucked terribly. I can't decide which was worse, this or Vacancy. Right now I'd say Vacancy. These are perfect examples of how not to do good horror/thriller movies. All the creepy sound effects in the world don't make up for a predictable script.
