NHT SW12 Noise/conditioner question

I have an NHT SW12 sub that I am getting significant noise (hum) that increases and decreases when the volume knob is turned up or down. I have tried plugging it into a different outlet but there was no change. I then plugged it into my main system power conditioner with an extension cord (long run) and it eliminated almost all of the noise. Since leaving it plugged in to my main conditioner is not an option, I was looking for some advise on another solution. I did see that there is a Panamax M2sub conditioner/surge protector but don't know if it really works or if there is a better solution. Thanks for any help.

You have a ground loop due to a resistance between the ground of the two receptacles and there is no device that will solve this. You will have to use the same outlet as the rest of the system. Sorry. The only other option is to have the ground of the sub outlet connected to your other outlet, with No 4 copper snaked through the wall.
