So I saw this movie a few days ago, and I thought it was pretty funny. I didn't know until I was watching it that it was a sequel to forgetting sarah marshall. There was also quite a selection of cool looking speakers, none of which I recognized lol. There was 1 scene with speakers inside clear enclosures, pretty sweet :D. Anyone else see it?

I saw it too and wondered about the speakers. I don't know what they were but they didn't look cheap. They looked like the ones attached to a 100K I stereo I "auditioned" (i.e., acting like I might buy) at an emporium in Soho a couple years ago.

On the movie, the trailer looked pretty dumb, but amazingly, my wife wanted to see it, so I paid her back for Robin Hood and Prince of Persia. Also, amazingly, I started to chuckle and ended up really liking it. Low expectations helped, but I though that Jonah Hill was quite good and Russell Brand was...Russell Brand and that's likable enough. He did a perfect job of being himself or at least being consistent with himself in Sarah Marshall. Having seen lots of rock prima donnas in my life, his send up was terrific.

So I downloaded the soundtrack to the movie, and it's pretty funny. It's got all the full songs that they had in the movie. Im listening to bangers, beans and mash lol

Didn't see it yet (but I will) but i liked Russel Brand in Sarah Marshall.

He's a natural for the upcoming remake of "Arthur".

Forgot to report back after watching this... I thought it was ok, it had it's funny moments, but I didn't think it was all that spectacular.

I'm with ya on this but I rented Sarah Marshal thinking it might be at least as good as this and I was not disappointed. It was as good as this but the director's cut had the benefit of all the male frontal nudity I need to make sure that I never revisit a film.

YMMV ... :p

If your expectations are not real high, it's a funny movie. I like watching Russell Brand playing himself and Jonah Hill playing the geeky, schlubby character he always plays. I don't know if there ever really was/is a rock star as vacant, self important and vain as Brand's character, but I'd like to think there is.

Saw it over the holidays and thought it was a stupid and boring movie.

Sarah Marshall was much better.
