I have no idea why you don't just set up a lawn chair and table at the end of your driveway, then you can see the brown truck when its near

Or have flags and road flares out so the driver can find the house! :D

This is box number 1. I didn't get it set up last night because box 2 and 3 took way longer than I thought and I am not talking about them.

This little thing is simply amazing. I have a lot of testing left to do but wow. The system is at it's best now with a perfect blend between the subs and mains. All the bloat and overhang is gone and it's just seamless.

I am running everything flat right now and with music, I keep wondering if the subs are even on. I then turn them off and then I get it, just a perfect extension to the mains.

This leaves me with a slight feeling that the bass is anemic but I think I got used to the bloat. I will continue running flat through more testing and then run +2-3 hot and see what's best.

Easily one of the best upgrades I have made so far.

You may try a house curve too.

And how prey tell is he going to do that....

He's using a point and shoot EQ, it does it all by itself.. unless something has changed...

LOL

You and I both understand the graph and the resolution behind it but I told you I was going to post it and you had to act impressed!!!!!!:D

House (Audyssey) curves primarily affect HF, specifically roll-off. AFAIK, it does nothing to the bass that it wouldn't normally do. It is a selection that can be made within the pre/pro. There are others curves like Flat, Fronts, and NAD even has their own additional proprietary curve designed by Paul Barton.

Congrats to the Dawg.

LOL = Very very impressed...

In fact - In that huge room I see you rolling off just shy of 20hz, which is not much different then what I'm seeing in my XL room myself... My large walls, windows and floor together are sucking out alot of the response below that point. Don't get me wrong - what I have is freakin amazing - and basically unlimited headroom at this point, but I figured I would get more output into the teens...

Learning how to live with the proper balanced EQ'd sound after the bloat is hard - ya kinda get addicted to the blooming bass - which is very powerful, sometimes thick and heavy - like a malaise poured over you, but its just not very well representative of the original score....

Enjoy your new recruits my friend... :)

Coming soon: Anthem Statement D1 and Wyred4Sound Dac2
Glad to hear you are finally getting the subs dialed in to your satisfaction and sounding great!

Yep, the Dac2 should be here tomorrow and the D1 on Friday. Fortunately I don't have to wait for the brown truck. I have a friend who works at UPS and is going to pick them up for me.

I wasn't thinking about those types of house curves, when I think of house curves, which I read as what lsiberian meant - I think of just bass only guided house curves, in which he has no control over - even if he were to implement a AVR type house curve - the SVS/Audyssey sub eq will tone it down to a overall flat response which he has no control of....

Its not like a full on external EQ where he can completely customize and tailor the curve of the response to his liking. Maybe down the line they will allow a bit of control over how the bass is handled like audyssey pro gives you with custom control.....

Oh I see Warp. It is surely the cheap lazy man's version, but my way is to use Audyssey XT, and then the free Crown Band Manager software to make some very simple adjustments to taste. My XTI amp holds up to 20 presets, and I think I've tried maybe 7 different settings now, always with a shelf down low. This is nice for low energy boost without worrying about bloated localizable midbass.
