Best wifi BD player for streaming

I did some searching and there was a similiar thread posted, but the mandate was for 3D capabilities as well. I'm not interested in anything with 3D at the moment.

Looking to spend around 175. I already have netflix (360 and a wii), at the moment wife uses the wii since she doesn't pay for Xbox gold. So the requirements are:

-WIFI equiped, or if cheap enough, have the option for add on dongle
-No analog connections required or SACD/DVD-A
-Must have netflix and pandora
-Upconvert DVDs well, I have a few hundred
-Looking for the most streaming support, not sure what else is out there beside netflix and pandora, but would like to have as many options as possible. Youtube, Vudu, etc?

This is mainly a WAF driven piece of gear. I plan on getting a PS3 for the media room within a year, this will be demoted to family room or bedroom duty then. Like to keep the costs down because I don't have the funds for a PS3 yet.

FWIW hard wired as opposed to WiFi would be a better solution, especiaaly as content moves foward.

Panasonic BD85 has both and is $179 currently:

The BD65 also has it and is only $119 but is not wifi enabled out of the box (requires their adapter).

Looks like I will have to compare the sony and panny. Thanks for the link. Found like 80 pages on AVS for each of them, but reading those threads drives me nuts. Everything here is to the point.

Unit will be hardwired for now. If I move it and can't stream well, I can always run cable. Although since the router is upstairs, that would really be hell to run it across the house and down one story.

If the run is difficult just buy a pair of powerline adapters and go that route.

I have found this site is pretty decent.
For family, I have bought a few players based on their recomendations, + additional research. And they have turned out pretty well.

Take a look of the older LG models, they are typically feature riched for very competitive prices. I agree with bandphan about going the hardwire route where possible. I hardwire my PS3 to take advantage of the Gigabit. I found wifi is really not fast enough for serious streaming.

I'll throw the Sony BDP-S570 into the mix. It has everything you want AND is 3D capable (although I have not tried that). The image quality is excellent with BD's and DVD upconverts. It does SACD, has links via wi-fi to lots of really bad digital content online (things like 5 minute low-def horror movies, Ford advertisements and unbelievably bad reality segments), plus Youtube, Neflix, Pandora, etc. It loads BD's fairly quickly. I think you can get it from various on-line sources for in the $180 range. I am completely pleased with it. When I bought it, I had a fairly negative impression of recent Sony boxes, but this had fixed their reputation for me.
