As some of you know, I'm a huge LIVE fan... well.. they're no more having broken up several months or so ago. Ed is doing his solo thing singing about butterflies and ponies. The remaining members of LIVE, Chad Taylor, Chad Gracey and Patrick Dahlheimer and Sean Hennessy and Kevin Martin from Candlebox formed The Gracious Few.

This is something I've been waiting for for awhile. I miss the old LIVE, the days of Throwing Copper where they just flat out had that raw sound. Together now, they have recaptured that raw sound with the bluesy kinda vibe from Candlebox and if the first single is any indication... it'll be an album worth picking up the day it comes out. Check out their single. I don't know of a place to stream just the audio, but on youtube you can check it out. I'm totally diggin' it.

I stopped enjoying Live after Samadhi. Can't listen to that right now because no sound, but will check it out.

Yeah... Distance to Here was definately a different direction after SS, but there were several damn good songs there. They fell off the cliff after that and it was hard to be a fan. If you like their early stuff, I think you'll really like this new-old band. let me know what you think!

Amazon has one full MP3 available (which I believe is the same on their site) and samples of all the tracks. I will definitely be buying this.

Awsome. I have it pre-ordered. I just thought that anyone who's a fan of early LIVE and obviously Candlebox or just that raw sound in general would dig it.

I have been listening to this one since release day. Very good album. Some of the slow songs are sort of so-so, but there are a lot of solid ones.

I've been listening and It's different. I was never a big Candlebox fan so... I like 2-3 songs right off the bat though. It's growing on me. (let it alone Alex!:D)

I have both Candlebox albums and the first one is a lot better than the second. I like Gracious Few better.

First listen on my main system. (been in the truck the others...) The growing familiarity and much better audio quality of the SVS's make a difference. Liking it more with every listen. Not epic but a good solid CD.
