Question: Outlaw subs

Outlaw LFM-1 Plus and the Outlaw LFM-1 EX : Can anybody tell me what the difference is between these 2 subs besides the box dimensions?

Evan hit the nail on the head. The EX uses a larger cabinet, which allows it to produce lower frequencies.

lower frequencies that i probably wouldn't hear anyway with a full 5.1 system. im guessing that the outlaw lfm 1 plus would be good enough.

You don't hear anything below 20hz but you sure as heck feel it. If you're just listening to most music you don't need anything below 30hz. Some organ music drops well below 20hz and lots movie effects go well below 20hz.

For music, I think it all depends on what he listens too here, there is alot of newer stuff like house music that has manufactured bass, as well as just normal artists out there...

People say they don't hear below 20 hz, but I think there are also parts where the resonating freq's add in and contribute to the sound.

That's why I said "most". I'm a big believer in subwoofer overkill which is why I pointed out that you can feel bass you can't hear.
