I'm mulling over my next DIY subwoofer project. I figure it'll be a pair of ported enclosures, using the Dayton RSS315HF. I'm just wondering which amps to go with. I see that the Dayton incorporates a parametric equalizer (single point), but are there any other characteristics that I should be aware of? "Real" power output", reliability, etc.
I'm also considering an EP2000, but I'm leaning towards plate amps.
I won't be starting this for several months yet, because SWMBO wants me to renovate the rec room first.
But, in the meantime, if I can settle on the components I'll be using, I'll keep my eyes open for any good deals that might come along.
Thanks for any input...
