Hey folks,
need your help. I have a new Onkyo-3007 which as many of these systems are now, time-consuming and difficult to hook up. My 3007 will suddenly stop driving the speakers--it "loses" all 11. For no apparent reason. I can see the LED boxes on the left of the control panel that indicate which speakers are on (e.g. SW, LF, FH for subwoofer, Left Front, and Front Height) as examples, just suddenly go blank. Onkyo reps tell me to CTL-ALT-DEL the machine which erases all the settings (inputs, outputs, speaker settings, acoustics, etc.). This has happened 3x. After setting everything back to defaults, it takes hours to reset. Now Onkyo says bring it into the dealer. That means hiring two guys to move my stereo wall unit and unlug 30+ wires, cables, jacks etc. Does anyone else have this problem--the 3007 just losing speakers? Is it a known design flaw? Thanks for any insight. If I have to bring the unit in, it's staying there and I'm walking out with a Denon and a heck of a blog to warn people off. Sure hope I am wrong.
