Pretty impressive looking deal on a subwoofer

First, I don't work for Amazon.

Second, I don't know if this is the correct location for a post of this sort.

Third, I don't know anything about this subwoofer.

Fourth, I'm no longer in the market for a subwoofer because, two weeks ago, at their first ever warehouse sale, I drove over to Grand Rapids, MI and picked me up an Earthquake Supernova MkV-15 that, I presume, Earthquake had sent to Audio Advisors for, now get this, $150. Sure, it was used, but only lightly. I'm a big fan of picking up dealer demos for sizable discounts.

Anyhow, in my email this morning, I got a link to this Infinity subwoofer:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/goldbox/ref=pe_36550_16538620_pe_00_head

Looks like a heckuva deal (the price is 67% off an $1100 subwoofer), but I don't know anything about it. I apologize in advance if I broke any rules by posting this.

Not a bad price, but is -6dB at 28Hz which isn't anything special in the $400 price range at all. The only thing it might have going for it is the wireless.

As good as Infinity speakers are for the price, I'd stay away from their subs. I used to own a P212 and it left a lot to be desired. Was ok for HT, but definately not a musical sub.

I agree with this statement. I own a couple Infinity towers and center and am happy with them but I wouldn't really give their subs a hard look.
