Didn't see a thread for this one so... Finally got to see it yesterday, it was in the small theater already due to Air bender being in 2 theaters and Twilight being in 3 other  . Anyway, good to see the gang together again along with some new faces. It was a good conclusion to the series I think, nice story. It looked fantastic {was in Real 3d}, sound was a bit soft, probably due to all the little ones

We thought it was ok. Not as good as the first 2 though.

For some reason, the part where Mr. Tortilla-head was getting attacked by the pigeon cracked me the hell up. I kept laughing for a couple of minutes after the scene.

Agreed, good movie. 3D adds a little bit to these movies, but not enough for the price. Overall good story, great look, great sound. Depends if you like the first two or not, but if you do, it's a good one to check out. Pixar can do no wrong in my book.

Well, I liked the first two and I thought Part 3 was the best Pixar movie yet! Mr. Tortilla Head made me hysterical with laughter, as did the monkey, who was both terrifying and hilarious. And I have to admit, I was moved to tears twice at a couple different points near the end of the flick. And I agree that it ends the series perfectly. :)

cheers,

Just saw a post on blu-ray.com where this is supposed to come out on blu in November this year, along with Finding Nemo... Not sure if it's true or not, but I sure hope so.

'Bout frickin' time!!! What the hell is Pixar's problem?!?!? Where the hell is Finding Nemo and Incredibles?!?!? You put out Cars and Ratatouille before your 2 best movies that just also happen to be HT demo staples?!?!?!

Just got home from the theater, TS3 was great, my fiance and I were the only ones in the theater so that made it even better. I can't wait to see this on blu, it's going to be awesome!

Well I got Toy Story 3 on blu ray, haven't watched it yet though, but the reviews I read on it have all been stellar. Looks like Finding Nemo didn't make it out this year, but there was an insert in the case that said The Incredibles would be out on blu ray in Spring 2011, so that made me very happy. Has anyone watched the blu ray yet and care to give their opinions?

Ah thanks for the bump. Just ordered it. (Forgot about it.) :D I purposely missed this in the theaters to make a blind BD buy. Well, I guess that's what I do for a lot of movies.

I've given up hope on Finding Nemo about 14 times now.

For opinions on this release, I haven't read a thing, but do you honestly expect anything less than reference material?

Up had better PQ than Monsters Inc, but even that one was very, very good. I thought maybe that's because Up was newer, but then A Bug's Life and Toy Story 1 are really top notch. I still think Ratatouille makes for the best PQ demo material of them all, as long as that's been out for.

I thought they already said Nemo next year, like holiday time frame? Pretty sure it was 2011, not 2010.

Picked up TS3 today. Will be watching soon. $19.99 at Frys + $10 off another Disney title when bought together so I picked up James and the Giant Peach too and got a free TS3 poster that I can give to someone's kids :)

I agree...this was the first movie my kids grew up with...they finally got to see it in the theater a while ago...they were jaw dropped seeing it on the big screen...

I liked it and was sad at the end lol

Good flick. Lots of great sound in the opening sequence. IMO, the story isn't quite as good as the other two, but was still very good also. The Day and Night short was good also :)

Just ordered my Bluray TS3, kind of anxious to see and hear again. I seems it has 7.1 DTS Master Audio. It gets a 4.9/5 *****

http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Toy-Story-3-Blu-ray/14836/

'Having exhausted so many glowing adjectives on Disney's video transfer, I'm at a bit of a disadvantage when it comes to conveying the sheer sonic strength of Toy Story 3's arresting DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 surround track. Simply put, Disney has outdone itself.'

Personally, I think the audio is even better than the video, at least for some certain scenes, I think of when it's dark at Sunnyside, perhaps when
Buzz goes to try to find the other room, to speak with the "natives".
. There are scenes with such spatial realism, I think I haven't heard that good since Act 4 of Carmen, which I watched on TLS's recommendation. Carmen may well still have better (only rented it, watched once), but I pretty much never hear that kind of spatial quality with movies.

I think this one grows on you. I liked it better the second and third time I saw it. The ending is perfect.
