OK. Let's get this started.
The Packers are picked by many "experts" to go all the way this year. That's a bit ominously optimistic for me, but I'm pretty fired up for the upcoming season none the less.

On a side note; I'm with all of America, the world maybe, in waiting to see if Brent Farm comes back for another season.

I hope Brett Farve comes back. The Vikings were one of the most exciting teams to watch last year. There are a lot of people jumping on the Packers bandwagon this year but I don't see it just yet. Wait and see I guess.

I think Bret got screwed by the Packers, but I understand their reasoning. I don't see them getting very far if Bret comes back though. The top two teams in the NFC are the Saints, and Cardinals. Vikings are third with Favre returning.

After that I have no clue. Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Green Bay, Philly, New York and Even Washington all could make a playoff run. Chicago was very close to winning a lot of games last year so that's always a dangerous sign they are the Dark Horse in the North, Washington is the Dark one in the east with a great defense and a great coach.

I think Dallas will finish 8-8 and probably not make the playoffs. I don't see it as Romo, or Wade's fault because the schedule is just brutal for Dallas. Green Bay has an easier schedule so they could get a nice seed.

I'd be shocked if the Boys made it to the Super Bowl. I picked them, but only because I really want them to make it. In reality they are an overrated team that rode the coattails of an easy schedule and injury riddled NFC East to the division crown.

I see the Cardinals declining in the NFC. Their saving grace is the division they play in however. In The AFC I see the Houston Texans climbing. Yup, the Houston Texans. They are at the cusp of being a great team and I see a good possibility of playoffs in their future.

Well the Cards only need 9 games to get in the playoffs and they always play like the old rams with all the receivers and Kurt Warner. In this league making the playoffs is most of the battle.

Farve had become more a sideshow and distraction in his indecision than the Packers had patience for. They had another top QB waiting in the wings and decided to go that direction.

Farve is a great QB, and possibly the best all around player the game has seen.

But he needs to go away, with dignity, before he gets hurt.

How did he get screwed by the Packers? They just got tired of his "I'm in, I'm out, I'm in, I'm out" crap. Did you know that when he announced his retirement on August 3rd, that it was 8 years, to the day, when he did that the first time in GB? He blew far too many important games. Personally, I hated to see him go but I, and a couple of million others, were tired of him thinking that the Earth revolves around him. His reputation of being a turd, as a person, is well-known and it's part of his narcissistic tendencies.

He happened to be there when we needed him but I have to ask, how can a team plan their season if they don't know who will be their Q-back? He doesn't like training camp. We get that. He needs to suck it up and practice with the rest of the team, period. Did Bart Starr, Y.A. Tittle, Johnny Unitas or any other great quarterback pull this crap? No, because it wasn't tolerated by the coach and management. If Lombardi was still the Packers' coach, Brent wouldn't have lasted long in GB. If he hadn't played for Holmgren, I'm not sure he would have played very long in the NFL. He may very well have spent a few years in the CFL.

As far as the Packers' schedule being easier, never underestimate their ability to play down to the level of a bad team.

LOL Favre distracted me from the Warner retirement. I think two of the guys giving speeches yesterday were a little better than Favre though. Of course if I'd watched him win a Super Bowl for my team I'm sure I'd have a different opinion. That's like people telling me Emmitt wasn't the best RB. When a guy wins one for your teams he's top in your book.

I'm actually afraid of seeing Favre killed on the field or turned into a vegetable on the field. He's taken way too many hits and needs to take care of himself. It's a shame that the competitive drive can influence someone to make so many poor decisions regarding health.
