I've got two tecniks, k2s, plugged into the phono inputs of my "american dj-battle deck"- i've checked everything- the turntables work, the channels work, the speakers, amp, everything. But for some reason the mixer is just not picking up the turntables...or maybe the turntables aren't properly sending out the sound?

helP!

So, it IS picking it up, but i have to max the gain and faders- what's up with that? i though phono boosted the signal? Could it just be because it's an older record? (but not that old...maybe 15 years...).

Make sure the turntable is plugged into the phono sockets. Make sure the rear selectors are set to phono and not AUX.

Make sure your cartridge is moving magnet and not moving coil.

If all checks out, check you turntable on a phono input on another device.

Don't do multiple posts on the same topic. It wastes every bodies time, especially as you could have read your instruction manual before posting.
